Pricing and billing

How much does Livro cost?

€89/month excl. VAT, or €890/year (2 months free) — the equivalent of €74/month. Flat fee, no per-order fees. No commission on orders — ever.

Are there hidden fees or per-order fees?

No. Livro charges a fixed monthly fee, that's it. Whether you do 5 orders or 500 in a month, the price doesn't change. The only additional fees are Stripe or PayPal transaction fees, which go directly to those providers.

Is activation really free?

Yes, for the first 10 clients. We set up your menu and payments remotely. You add your photos from the dashboard. The real value is €299. After the first 10 clients, the activation fee will be €299 one-time.

Can the price increase during the contract?

No. Your rate is fixed: €89/month or €890/year. It doesn't change during the contract — no tiers, no surprise increase.

How does billing work?

Monthly billing by card or bank transfer. You receive a VAT invoice each month. Belgian VAT (21%) applies.

Setup and going live

How quickly is my ordering site online?

24 hours. Everything is done remotely — we configure your menu, prices and payments. You add your dish photos from the dashboard. Your QR codes are available to download and print as soon as you're activated.

What do I need to provide to get started?

Your menu (even handwritten or as a photo). For dish photos, you add them yourself from the dashboard — with your phone or a camera. Nothing else on the technical side.

Is Livro available everywhere in Belgium?

Yes. Everything is done remotely — Wallonia, Flanders, Brussels, whatever the postcode. No on-site visit required.

Can I use my own domain (e.g. myresto.be)?

Yes. By default, your site is hosted on myresto.livro.be. If you have your own .be, we point the DNS to Livro — it's included in the plan, with no extra fees.

How do I get my QR codes?

Your QR codes are generated automatically when your account is activated. You download them as a PDF from the dashboard and print them yourself — at a print shop or on a regular printer. We provide ready-to-use templates.

Payments

Which payment methods can my customers use?

Visa, Mastercard, Bancontact (via Stripe) and PayPal. Payments go directly to your bank or PayPal account — Livro never touches the money.

Does Livro take a cut of the payments?

No. Livro takes no commission. The only transaction fees are Stripe's (~1.5% + €0.25 in Belgium for European cards, free for Bancontact on some plans) or PayPal's (depending on your PayPal contract).

When do I receive the money from orders?

For Stripe: the payment is transferred to your bank account on the schedule configured in your Stripe account (typically 2–7 days). For PayPal: instantly to your PayPal account.

Can I accept cash payments?

Yes. Livro also handles cash orders. To prevent fake orders, we send a verification SMS (4-digit code) to customers who choose cash payment. You confirm the order once the customer arrives.

What happens if I decline an order already paid by card?

Livro triggers an automatic refund via Stripe or PayPal. The customer is refunded in full, with no manual action on your part.

How the ordering site works

What's the difference between Click & Collect and QR at the table?

Click & Collect: the customer orders from home, pays online, comes to pick up the order. QR at the table: the customer scans a QR placed on the table, orders and pays without waiting for the server. Both modes are included in Livro.

Can my menu be in multiple languages?

Yes. Livro natively supports French, Dutch and English. You enter your menu in all three languages via the dashboard, and the customer automatically sees the version in their language.

How do my customers place an order?

By scanning the QR or visiting your URL (e.g. myresto.livro.be). They see your menu, add items to the cart, choose the mode (table or takeaway), and pay online. You receive the order in real time in your dashboard.

Do my customers get a confirmation?

Yes. A confirmation email with the order summary, the amount, and the estimated time is sent automatically. For cash orders, a verification SMS is sent before confirmation.

Can I disable ordering temporarily (closing, holidays)?

Yes. In the dashboard, an "Open / Closed" switch lets you stop orders in one click. You can also set automatic opening hours.

Cancellation and data

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. With no notice period and no cancellation fee. You send an email to contact@livro.be and your subscription ends at the close of the current month.

What happens to my data if I leave?

You get all of your data: customer list (name, email, phone), order history, product photos — exported as CSV or JSON. Your data belongs to you.

Can Livro bring me new customers?

No, and that's by design. Livro is not a marketplace — your site is not listed in a Livro app that customers would open to look for a restaurant. You use your own URL, your own QR codes, your own channels (Google, Instagram, word of mouth). Livro gives you the tools to keep your existing customers, not to find new ones.
